Red Beach has the densest concentration of retirement living on the Hibiscus Coast. Three of the villages we visit sit within a few minutes of each other here, which means we are in the area most weeks and can usually offer a choice of times rather than the one slot left in a schedule.

That density changes the practical experience of getting help. Because our helpers move between units in the same village, and between villages a short drive apart, less of your hour disappears into travel and more of it goes on your home. It also means cover is easier: if your regular helper is unwell, the colleague who steps in is often someone already working nearby that day.

Housing here runs from village units through to the standalone homes on the streets running down towards the beach. The village units are usually a straightforward hour. The standalone homes, particularly the older ones closer to the water, tend to want two or three, mostly because of the extra bathroom and the laundry.

We do household help and companionship rather than nursing or personal care, and we are clear about that line. If what you need is help with showering or medication, you need a different kind of provider, and we will say so rather than take the booking.
