Does Cleaning Instyle accept the SuperGold card?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cleaning Instyle LTD is a registered SuperGold business serving Whangaparaoa, Orewa, Red Beach, Silverdale, Millwater, Gulf Harbour and the wider Hibiscus Coast. SuperGold cardholders get 10% off home help, which takes the rate from $55 to $49.50 an hour plus GST. There is no sign-up, no minimum contract and no joining fee.

How much do I actually save with my SuperGold card?

10% off every home-help visit. A 2-hour visit drops from $110 to $99.00, and the 5-hour flagship package drops from $275 to $247.50, both plus GST. On a weekly 3-hour visit that is a saving of about $858 across a year.

Can I use my parent's SuperGold card for my own house?

Accepted Answer

No. The discount applies to home help at the cardholder's own home. If you are booking a clean for your own property, it is charged at the standard rate even if you hold a card belonging to a parent or another family member. You can absolutely book and pay for visits to your parent's home on their behalf, and the discount applies there in the normal way, because the work is happening at the cardholder's address.

Does the discount apply to retirement village visits?

Accepted Answer

No. Retirement Village Support is a separate flat rate of $65 for a one-hour visit, already priced below what a standalone hour would cost because our helpers work across several units in the same village. The 10% SuperGold discount applies to home-help packages at a private address and does not stack on top of the village rate.

Can I use my SuperGold discount on a gift voucher?

Accepted Answer

No. A gift voucher is usually bought by somebody other than the cardholder, and there is no card to check at the point of purchase, so gift vouchers are sold at the standard rate. If the cardholder later books more hours than the voucher covers, the discount applies to those extra hours in the usual way.

Do I need to show my SuperGold card?

Just tick the SuperGold box when you request a quote and we will apply the discount to your estimate straight away. We may ask to see the card on the first visit, which is a formality rather than a hurdle. If you cannot find it, your helper can note it and we will sort it out before the first invoice.

The SuperGold card is a New Zealand Government card for residents aged 65 and over, and for younger people receiving a Veteran's Pension. It gives free off-peak public transport and discounts from thousands of participating businesses nationwide. It arrives automatically when you are granted NZ Superannuation, so most people do not need to apply for it separately.
