Cleaning Instyle LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at www.cleaninginstyle.co.nz and provides residential, commercial, and senior home-help cleaning services on the Hibiscus Coast, New Zealand. We are the agency responsible for personal information collected through this site, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
2. What we collect
We collect personal information that you provide to us, including:
- Name, email address, phone number, and home or business address.
- Service details you share when requesting a quote (e.g. number of bedrooms, schedule preferences, support needs for senior care).
- Messages you send via the contact or quote forms.
- Limited technical information your browser sends automatically (IP address, device type, referring page) for security and analytics.
We do not knowingly collect information from children. We do not ask for, store, or process payment-card details on this website.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Reply to your enquiry and prepare a personalised quote.
- Schedule and deliver the cleaning services you have booked.
- Send confirmation, reminder, and follow-up messages about your booking.
- Keep records required for tax, accounting, and dispute resolution.
- Improve the website and prevent abuse (e.g. rate limiting and spam filtering).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with trusted providers who help us run our business, including our email provider (Gmail / Google Workspace), website host (Vercel), and any cleaner assigned to your booking. We may disclose information if required by New Zealand law (e.g. a lawful request from a regulator or court).
5. How long we keep it
We keep quote and booking records for as long as needed to provide the service and to comply with our legal obligations (typically up to seven years for tax and contract records). Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted or anonymised after twelve months.
6. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of information that is inaccurate.
- Withdraw consent for non-essential communications.
- Make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
