Initial Cleaning Overview Initial cleaning, also referred to as pre-cleaning or deep cleaning, is a comprehensive cleaning process conducted before commencing regular maintenance cleanings. This essential step establishes a clean foundation and ensures that all areas receive thorough attention. By addressing accumulated dust, dirt, and grime, initial cleaning facilitates more effective ongoing maintenance, creating a healthier and more comfortable living environment. If your home requires a more extensive clean before starting regular service, we recommend booking an initial cleaning first. Should additional time be required, we will discuss the options with you after completing an on-site cleaning assessment. What is Included in the Service? General Areas Dusting all surfaces, including furniture, shelves, baseboards, and light fixtures Cleaning interior windows, window sills, and ledges Vacuuming carpets and rugs Sweeping and mopping hard floors Wiping down walls, doors, and door frames to remove marks or fingerprints Living Areas Vacuuming upholstered furniture (e.g., couches, chairs) Dusting all surfaces, including furniture and decorative items Cleaning skirting boards and window sills Bedrooms Dusting furniture and decorative items Changing bed linens (if requested) Vacuuming or mopping floors Bathrooms Scrubbing sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers Cleaning grout lines and descaling taps Sanitising countertops, mirrors, and fixtures Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping bathroom floors Kitchen Deep cleaning of countertops, backsplashes, and cabinet fronts Cleaning inside appliances such as ovens, microwaves, and refrigerators (if included) Scrubbing sinks and sanitising surfaces Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors Floors Comprehensive floor care, including vacuuming and mopping hard surfaces Specialised Cleaning (Available Upon Request) Removing cobwebs from ceilings or corners Spot-cleaning walls to remove stains or marks Disinfecting high-touch areas such as light switches and doorknobs Booking Information The minimum booking time for an initial cleaning is four hours. However, depending on the scope of work, additional time may be necessary. If more time is required, we will provide further details after conducting an on-site assessment.
